Dr Lizzie Philps

Lizzie is a Director and Live Artist with specialisms in devised, autobiographical and multi-media performance. Having trained in Commedia Dell’ Arte in Italy and in Clown with Phillipe Gaulier, Lizzie ran a touring theatre company for 12 years, collaborating with venues including Bristol Old Vic, Bath Theatre Royal, LIFT festival and the Science Museum, London. Her professional practice now focuses on site-based and interdisciplinary performance, often using walking and locative media. Lizzie completed her PhD at Exeter University and has published work with Routledge, Demeter Press and the Live Art Development Agency.
