Harriet Jackman

Lecturer in Fine Art
Location:
Queens Road (Bristol School of Art)
After studying Psychology straight after A levels Harriet did an Art Foundation as a (relatively!) mature student, as a way of exploring possible future career paths in art therapy (as she believed at the time). The art educational process was so interesting that she managed to support herself through a Fine Art degree. She continued her art practise beyond undergraduate study, with a studio space, showing work locally and nationally, and studying for an MA at Cardiff. For nearly thirty years, since starting teaching and having a child, she has refocused her interests back onto the process of learning about art. She also makes and mends things.
