Application Step-by-Step Guide

  • Choose Your Course & Apply
    - Full-Time Applicants: Apply via UCAS.
    - Part-Time or SGS-Only Applicants: Apply directly through our website - use the ‘part-time apply’ button on your chosen course page or email us at HEAdmissions@sgscol.ac.uk for full-time direct applications.
  • Disability or Additional Needs?
    Let us know during your application if you have a disability, medical condition, or learning need. Our Disability Support Service can work with you to ensure any necessary support is in place from day one. Disability Support Service | Student Support
  • Accept Your Offer
    - UCAS Applicants: Accept your offer through your UCAS Hub.
    - Direct Applicants: Email us at HEAdmissions@sgscol.ac.uk to confirm your place.
  • Visit Us
    Experience SGS for yourself by attending one of our University Centre Open Events. Meet staff, speak to current students, and explore our campuses. Some courses also offer Applicant Days or Showcase Events - check your email inbox for invitations.
  • Apply for Student Finance
    - Applications for full-time students usually open in March.
    - Applications for part-time students open in June.

    From April onwards, you’ll receive instructions on how to access:
    - Your SGS email account
    - Microsoft Teamse
    - Campus (Virtual Learning Environment)
    If you're new to these platforms, don’t worry - we’ll help you get started.
  • Enrolment
    In the summer, you’ll receive full enrolment details, including:
    - Your induction session date
    - What to bring
    - Kit lists or trip information (if applicable to your course)
