Celebrating Alumni Success with Indie Game Studio Launch PeaPod Games LTD Lists First Game, Battle Mountain, on Steam Early Access

We are proud to announce the success of four of our Game Art, Design, and Development alumni — Dav, Emmy, Jacob, and Travis —who have recently launched their own indie game studio, PeaPod Games LTD. Their studio’s debut game, Battle Mountain, is soon to be available on Steam Early Access, marking a major milestone in their journey from students to professional developers.

Battle Mountain is a casual action platforming game that combines fast-paced platforming mechanics with fun, tactical combat. The game originated during the team’s final year at the University Centre WISE. Dav, Emmy, Jacob, and Travis began developing it as part of their third-year project. The game has evolved significantly since then, with the group dedicating their time and creativity to bringing it to life.

This success isn’t new to the group, as they also contributed to the development of a yet to be released title for Get Kraken, our in-house studio. Their experience working on Get Kraken helped refine their skills and gave them the confidence to venture into creating their own studio.

"We always knew we wanted to start something of our own, and being part of the Get Kraken project gave us a lot of practical experience," said Dav, one of the founders of PeaPod Games LTD. “Working with such talented classmates and under the guidance of Steve, Ben and Matt(lecturers) gave us the foundation to create something we're really proud of."
