Zoological Management and Conservation Degree Taster Session

A Wildly Successful Taster Day for SGS Uni’s Zoological Management and Conservation Degree

Prospective students got a unique glimpse into life as a Zoological Management and Conservation student at SGS, as they joined us for a taster day held at the iconic Bristol Zoo Project — the proud home of our degree course.

The event welcomed visitors from across the country who were keen to explore what it’s like to study a degree rooted in real-world conservation practice. With the Bristol Zoo Project offering a working zoo environment and a base for our academic delivery, guests were treated to the rare opportunity to learn in the same environment our students thrive in every day.

Throughout the day attendees met with Academic and Bristol Zoological Society staff, learnt all about the course with talks and practical sessions and had the chance to explore how our degree equips graduates for careers in zoos, wildlife conservation, and beyond. The day gave potential applicants a real feel for what it's like to study Zoological Management and Conservation in a zoo-based setting.

The Taster Day proved not only informative but inspiring, leaving many attendees eager to apply and join a programme that is making a real difference in the world of wildlife care and conservation.

Would you like to come and explore our facilities?
We welcome anyone interested in the course to get in touch to arrange a bespoke visit or sign up for one of our upcoming Open Days. It's a great chance to meet the team, see the learning spaces, and discover how you could start your journey in zoological management and conservation with SGS.
