Zoological Management & Conservation Students Support SANCCOB’s Penguin Petition

Zoological Management & Conservation students at ZMC were inspired to take action after hearing from a guest speaker at SANCCOB (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds) in South Africa. The speaker highlighted SANCCOB’s vital work to protect African penguins, a critically endangered species, and their petition urging the South African government to support conservation efforts.

The students were moved by the urgent need to protect these iconic seabirds, whose numbers are declining due to habitat loss, overfishing, and climate change. Many pledged to support the cause by signing the petition.

SANCCOB is calling on the global community to act now. Every signature counts. To support their mission and help save African penguins, follow the link below.

SANCCOB thanks you for your support!
