SGS Sport members Alex Oliver and Leon Serning showcased their talents and dedication at recent call-up events. Alex Oliver represented Avon in the UK CAU Inter-Counties cross country and achieved a personal best, with final results yet to be announced. This remarkable achievement comes after only one year of training, during which Alex has represented Avon at the English Schools level.
Meanwhile, Leon Serning received an invitation to compete at the England Athletics Para Indoor Championships, where he achieved a personal best and came in third in the A final. Leon's success comes after overcoming ongoing injuries through his own dedication, support from SGS Sport's Strength Conditioning and Sport Therapy Team and working with coach Edward Ellis-Cooper and external coach Nick Harris.
"This is an amazing achievement for Alex in only her 2nd year of training. She is a dedicated athlete and committed both in her studies and her athletics. As for Leon, he has shown incredible perseverance and dedication, and we're excited to see what he'll achieve in the future."
