SGS Higher Education and University Centre Hosts Successful Level 3 Progression Day at WISE Campus

On Tuesday 3rd September 2024, SGS Higher Education and University Centre proudly hosted its highly anticipated Level 3 Progression Day at the WISE Campus. The annual event is designed to provide Level 3 students with valuable insights into the exciting opportunities available to them as they consider progressing into higher education.

The day was packed with a variety of engaging activities, all aimed at inspiring and informing students about their next steps. The event kicked off with a welcome from the Director of Higher Education, Dr Jo Kear, who shared valuable insights about the diverse range of university-level courses available at SGS. The talk highlighted the benefits of studying locally, discussing the top-class facilities, supportive learning environment, and unique progression pathways available at SGS.

The students also had a talk from motivational speaker, Luke Askew. The speaker captivated the audience with his engaging presentation, which focused on overcoming challenges, setting achievable goals, resilience and maintaining a positive mindset through life's academic and personal challenges.

The second half of the day offered students the opportunity to participate in course-specific taster sessions. These sessions were specially designed to give students a hands-on experience of the subjects they’re interested in studying at a higher level. Whether it was exploring the world of business, delving into sporting activities, or getting a taste of the latest trends in creative media, the students gained a real understanding of what studying these subjects at SGS would be like.

The success of the Level 3 Progression Day reflects SGS Higher Education and University Centre's commitment to supporting local students on their educational journey and providing them with the tools they need to succeed in higher education. With such events, SGS continues to create an inspiring, student-centred environment where individuals are encouraged to explore their passions and reach their full potential.
