Lee Vickery

I’m a lecturer with over 15 years of experience in the higher education sport and leisure industry. I teach a range of modules across Levels 4 to 6, with a particular focus on professional development and coach education. My passion lies in helping students grow both academically and professionally, preparing them for dynamic careers in sport. My academic journey began with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Studies from the University of Wales, Newport. I then completed an MSc in Sports Coaching and Performance at the University of South Wales, followed by a PGCE in the Lifelong Learning Sector from the University of Greenwich. I’m currently studying for a PSaE in Sport and Exercise at the University of Gloucestershire to further deepen my expertise. Sport has always been a central part of my life, and football is my main passion—I’m a proud supporter of Newport County AFC. I bring that same enthusiasm into my teaching, aiming to inspire students through real-world insights and a genuine love for the subject.
